Carrie Underwood's Husband, Mike Fisher, and 2 Kids: Names and Ages of Children

Carrie Underwood and her husband, Mike Fisher, are one of those couples who make you believe in love at first sight, even if their meeting was a little more planned than that. Back in 2008, Carrie’s bassist, Mark Childers, decided to play matchmaker and introduced her to Mike after one of her concerts.

Carrie later admitted she was a little nervous, joking that if he turned out to be weird, she’d just avoid him. But the second she saw him, all she could think was, “Hot, hot, hot.” That first impression clearly stuck because less than two years later, they were saying “I do” in a gorgeous lakeside ceremony in Georgia. Their love story has been going strong ever since, filled with hockey games, music tours, and a whole lot of farm life.

Who Is Carrie Underwood’s Husband? The Couple Shares Two Kids

Mike Fisher might be best known for his time in the NHL, where he played for the Ottawa Senators and later the Nashville Predators, even captaining the team during their 2017 Stanley Cup run. But these days, he’s swapped his hockey stick for a more laid-back lifestyle, running a hunting and outdoor brand called Catchin’ Deers and enjoying life on their sprawling 400-acre farm in Tennessee.

He’s the kind of guy who’s just as comfortable in camo as he is in a suit on the red carpet, and he’s been Carrie’s biggest supporter through every step of her career. Whether it’s cheering her on at award shows or holding down the fort with their two boys while she’s on tour, Mike’s the steady presence in her whirlwind life.

Speaking of their boys, Carrie and Mike are parents to two adorable sons, Isaiah and Jacob, who couldn’t be more different but are both clearly the center of their parents’ world. Isaiah, the older one, was born in 2015 and has already shown signs of following in his mom’s musical footsteps. At just five years old, he joined Carrie on her Christmas album, singing a sweet little duet on “Little Drummer Boy.”

Carrie Underwood has been married to her husband, retired NHL player Mike Fisher, since 2010, and they have two children: sons Isaiah (born 2015, age 9) and Jacob (born 2019, age 5).

But don’t let the musical talent fool you—this kid is also a total athlete, playing baseball and taekwondo with the kind of intensity that makes Carrie joke she gets more nervous watching him than she ever did watching Mike play hockey. He’s got an old soul, too, with a soft spot for vintage style and a heart big enough to donate his birthday money to charity.

Then there’s Jacob, the baby of the family, born in 2019 after Carrie went through three heartbreaking miscarriages. He’s their little miracle, and it’s clear they don’t take a single day with him for granted. Jacob is all energy, obsessed with hockey like his dad, and even had a pond hockey party for his fifth birthday.

He’s the kind of kid who falls asleep mid-concert during one of Carrie’s shows but wakes up ready to chase his big brother around the farm the next morning. The two of them are thick as thieves, whether they’re helping feed the cows or battling it out in a game of Monopoly.

Life on their Tennessee farm is anything but ordinary. Carrie’s turned into a full-on homesteader, raising chickens, sheep, and even growing her own vegetables. The boys get to experience a childhood that’s equal parts adventure and responsibility, learning the value of hard work while still having plenty of time to be kids.

When Carrie’s not on tour, she’s all about those little moments—morning cuddles, family prayers before meals, and sneaking in as much quality time as possible. And when she is on the road, Mike makes sure the boys stay connected, whether it’s through video calls or even tagging along for parts of the tour.
