Conor McGregor's Plastic Surgery: Why Does The MMA Fighter Look So Unrecognizable?

Conor McGregor is thought to have had plastic surgery including Botox, fillers, and a nose job by his fans. The MMA fighter emerged into the public scene after about two years with a new appearance that made him look unrecognizable. That’s when the plastic surgery speculations about Conor McGregor started. He has not responded to those speculations, however.

Conor McGregor is an Irish professional mixed martial artist (MMA) and one of the best ones in combat sports. Defeated by Floyd Mayweather Jr. in his debut professional boxing match, he later went on to be the first Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter to hold UFC championships in two weight classes simultaneously. Now, he is a former UFC featherweight and lightweight double-champion. And not just UFC, he is also the former Cage Warriors featherweight and lightweight champion.

So far, he has headlined five of the highest-selling UFC pay-per-view (PPV) events and thus, is considered to be the biggest PPV draw in MMA history. His match with Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 got 2.4 million PPV buys, which is the most ever for an MMA event. And his boxing match with Mayweather drew 4.3 million PPV buys in North America, which is the second most in combat sports history.

In 2021, as per Forbes, Conor McGregor earned $180 million and was ranked as the world’s highest-paid athlete. He was featured in the list, three years before, in 2018 as well when he came in fourth after reportedly generating an income of $99 million. Now, he’s no longer in the running because he has been out of the action for almost two years, only recently making his comeback.

The buzz of his comeback, one of the most successful athletes, was all stolen by his looks after he emerged back into the scene looking unrecognizable. Many fans suspected he had had plastic surgery because he looked so different than before and not very natural. They, in particular. believed he had Botox, fillers, and a nose job, which they had suspected for quite a while. Let’s find out more about Conor McGregor’s plastic surgery!

Conor McGregor’s Plastic Surgery: Fans Suspect He Has Had Botox and Fillers!

Conor McGregor (@thenotoriousmma) has been suspected by his fans of having undergone plastic surgery including Botox and fillers in order to prevent the effects of aging. He is also believed to have had a nose job.

After two years of hiatus (he has been out of the action ever since he broke his leg and was defeated by Dustin Poirier in 2021), Conor McGregor is now making his comeback. He just recently announced his much-awaited return fight against Michael Chandler this year as a part of the promotion of the latest series of The Ultimate Fighter but his news ended up being overshadowed by his new look and now, there’s more talk about his plastic surgery than there is about his upcoming match.

Conor McGregor emerged back into the public scene with a whole different look. Just last weekend, he was in Las Vegas to film the coaching part of the series, where both fighters will go head-to-head in competition. He was also present for the UFC heavyweight Jon Jones‘ comeback fight against Cyril Gane where Jones choked out his rival and became the champion and he could be a whole other person he looked that unrecognizable. Plastic surgery speculations were in order.

There was a video of him and Chandler giving their predictions for the UFC 285 main event that was posted by the UFC. It was that video, in particular, that made everyone aware of how different Conor McGregor looked compared to before. He sported a new look and all the difference in his looks, all the significant facial changes, appeared to be plastic surgery. Fans were quick to catch on that and make speculations about that one.

The MMA fighter looked smooth and air-brushed. There’s no other way to say this. Conor McGregor looked on screen like he had virtually been de-aged and that process went too far with him looking like he could be erased from existence. That must have been the effects of overdone Botox. He is no expert at getting good plastic surgery and fans trolled him for that.

They wasted no time to burst into the comment section, one writing, “Mythical fighter unlocked ‘Conor McGregor clone’.” Another seemed genuinely uncertain, “Don’t know if that’s a real or AI-generated McGregor.” A fan got all snarky and asked, “is this a deepfake?” A viewer asked, ” Did Conor have work done to his face?” and another answered, “Looks like Conor got Botox done.”

There were rumors about him getting a nose job before as well but it was nothing as intense as it is right now. Though there are lots of such comments about his looks and speculations about plastic surgery, Conor McGregor has not acknowledged it and has not responded to it.
