Ian Somerhalder is a certified Hollywood hunk and most, if not all, girls have been crushing on him since he rose to mainstream prominence when he starred in The Vampire Diaries because just look at his face. He has a very masculine face with a very strong jawline which makes people go crazy about him. But that was about fourteen years ago. He still looks the same and time should not work that way, but he looks a bit younger than before. Did he have plastic surgery?

He’s only 44 so people might not have suspected him if it wasn’t for him looking younger than before. Besides, there was a point when he had already started to develop lines and wrinkles and crow’s feet and there are even pictures of it. But looking at him now, there’s not a trace of those lines which must have been the work of plastic surgery.
Besides, aging might not be the only thing that pushed Ian Somerhalder to get plastic surgery because if you look at his before and after pictures, not only does he look younger but he also looks more enhanced which is to say, his facial features look stronger and sharper. It’s possible that the actor thought that he would get more handsome than he was if he refined his facial features with cosmetic surgery.
He had to, or else why would he have so obviously gotten those jaw implants? Ian Somerhalder already had the sharpest and strongest jawline and he was the last person who needed to refine it but yet he went ahead and did that. If you don’t believe that he got jaw implants, then take a look at his before and after pictures and you will see that he had a broad squarish face before but now, his face seems as though reshaped with a protruding and stronger jawline which makes his eyes look narrower. You will never not see plastic surgery (jaw implants) after that.

Ian Somerhalder is also believed to have undergone a nose job. Many fans have pointed out how the Lost actor’s nose looks more defined and slimmer in recent photos. And looking at the before and after pictures, he may have refined his nose even though it needed no refining and was already sharp before. But he must be in a plastic surgery roll because he didn’t need to have jaw implants either.
Fans suspect that Ian Somerhalder has had a facelift as well because he has very tight and smooth facial skin. His face looks more pulled back than before when he was younger which is why many fans think that he may have gotten plastic surgery to tighten his face when it had not begun to sag and droop down.
