Even though Amanda Holden (@noholdenback) has already surpassed 50 and still looks young, there has now been considerable discussion over whether or not she has had plastic surgery. Over the years, Amanda has been open about the wrinkle-freezing injections, stating that she got her first Botox treatment after noticing crow’s feet while filming Wild At Heart in South Africa. In 2008, she revealed,
Yes, I have had Botox… I was constantly frowning in the sun. I noticed crow’s feet coming and that’s when I had it.
However, she revealed that she had stopped receiving Botox injections after spending time in intensive care following the birth of her daughter Hollie in January 2012.
Everybody knows that in the past, yes, I’ve talked about having Botox. I’ve not gone under the knife or had any injections. Since spending too much time in intensive care after nearly losing a baby, I’ve not gone under the knife or had any injections.
The 51-year-old actress has consistently maintained that she has never had plastic surgery on her face and instead depends on non-invasive anti-aging cosmetic procedures. She insists that a mix of strong genes, a healthy lifestyle—she has been a vegetarian for almost 4 decades and routinely exercises—and beauty treatments are responsible for her young appearance. In an interview with Daily Mail in 2014, she stated,
I’ve been having Collagen Wave facials by a wonderful lady called Nilam Patel. It’s done amazing things to my face. I swear by a fortnightly collagen wave facial, where radio frequency and ultrasound waves heat up my skin to encourage it to produce new collagen. I’m a fan of various creams and potions, too, and lots of water (and wine!), but really I think it’s down to genetics. I’m up for anything, though nothing invasive.
Additionally, Amanda Holden is a size 8 and is aware that she wouldn’t look well with large breasts. She previously said she didn’t breastfeed after having two kids, which would have substantially affected her chest. She discussed how her first pregnancy with daughter Lexi affected her figure in 2010 stating, “I didn’t get any stretch marks, my boobs are the same shape and still up, but I didn’t breastfeed.”
