houseandwhips.com - Usher is a Zionist is what people on Twitter are saying. Their accusation of Zionism is based on a post the singer made in 2014 where he said that he supports Israel and a story in which he shared the image of a closed fist with a projection of Israel's flag. Usher has yet to outright deny the claims of being a Zionist.
Usher is one of the most successful and talented musical artists in America. The singer-songwriter has impacted an entire generation with his music. He has been a very influential figure in contemporary R&B and pop music. It's not for nothing that he is referred to as the "King of R&B" by various media outlets. Ever since he released his self-titled debut album in 1994 at the age of sixteen, he has only gotten better and better. He has been inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame, the Black Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame, SoundExchange Hall of Fame, and the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Usher has not just enjoyed critical acclaim but he has also attained commercial success. With his sales of 80 million records worldwide, he is one of the best-selling music artists of all time. He has sold 23.8 million albums and 38.2 million digital songs in the United States. He was named the 97th greatest singer of all time by Rolling Stone magazine in 2023, and in 2024, his Confessions Part II was named the greatest R&B song of the 21st century by the same magazine. Anyway, leaving his music to be discussed later on, the time has come to talk about a more important issue which is about him being a Zionist. What's that about? Let's find out!
Usher Is Accused of Being a Zionist!
Usher (@usher) is one of the many celebrities who are currently being labeled a Zionist and facing heat on the internet over the accusations.

The King of R&B was pretty much a very beloved public figure until recently. A post he made in 2014 in support for Israel surfaced and since then, he has been facing accusations of Zionism. In light of the horrible events that have unfolded after the militant group Hamas attacked Israel, the conflict between Israel and Palestine has been bubbling up to the surface more than it has ever and what it has done in pop culture is divide the public figures into a Zionist or pro-Palestine.
Usher has been labeled the former because every celebrity who has voiced their opinions on the conflict has to be one or the other and with him, he may not have been very vocal about his support for Israel but lack of any posts in recognition of what Palestine has been through, has got people accusing him of Zionism and calling for his boycott. He has not actively been like "Support Israel because not supporting the country is anti-semitic" like a lot of hardcore Zionists but still, people on the internet are very relentless and ruthless.
Usher Has Not Denied The Accusations of Being a Zionist!
If you are wondering the reason why Usher is being criticized for his Zionism when he has seemingly done nothing that suggests he supports Israel's cause, then let me tell you that he has indeed made some posts taking Israel's side which he has deleted since. He has not been out there with his opinions on the conflict but his trying to avoid controversy by deleting the posts that show his stance is why he is never going to beat the allegations that he is a Zionist in all seriousness.
Usher has not posted anything in support of Palestine.

First, it was a post that he made in 2014 where he showed his support for Israel. The post was basically a statement that said that he stood with Israel. He has deleted the post since then but the internet keeps receipts and in light of the recent events, it has surfaced again. Also, it was not just that. In October, he posted on his Stories an image of a closed fist with a projection of the Israeli flag which is what has got him labeled a Zionist.
Usher also wrote that he was appalled by the number of innocents who have been murdered and that "his heart and prayers go out to the loved ones of the victims of such a horrendous crime." Nowhere did he mention anything about the Palestinian people and everything's that going on in Gaza. He only mentioned the attack of Hamas on Israel and avoided addressing the Israel-Palestine conflict. He failed to talk about genocide of the Palestinians which has led to him being accused of being a Zionist. He has not yet denied the claims and is choosing to stay silent about it.
