Jeremy met Melissa Lynn Henning in 1999 at a Southern California Bible study. He was instantly drawn to her authenticity, her spiritual strength, and the way she worshipped like no one was watching. Their connection was magnetic—not just a youthful crush but something deeper, rooted in shared beliefs and purpose. But just as their love story was beginning, it was met with a devastating diagnosis: Melissa had ovarian cancer.
Doctors gave her a grim prognosis, yet Melissa remained steadfast in her faith. Jeremy, only 22 at the time, wrestled with watching the woman he loved face the unimaginable. Despite the diagnosis, they went ahead with their wedding on October 21, 2000. Jeremy described their wedding day as both joyful and painful, knowing they had limited time.
Melissa passed away just four months later, on February 5, 2001, at the age of 21. Her final words, according to Jeremy, were filled with peace and a desire that her life would lead others to Christ. Jeremy was devastated—but not destroyed. Out of this deep grief came the song “I Still Believe,” which became a landmark moment in his career. That chapter of his life later inspired the 2020 film of the same name, a powerful depiction of love, loss, and unwavering belief.

After grieving and focusing on his music, Jeremy met Adrienne Liesching, a fellow Christian artist, in 2002. Adrienne had been the lead vocalist for the South African Christian rock band The Benjamin Gate before it disbanded. Their friendship turned into a courtship rooted in spiritual compatibility and emotional support. The couple married in December 2003, just two years after Melissa’s passing.
Adrienne, known for her own gentle yet powerful voice, transitioned into solo music while also becoming a key part of Jeremy’s life both personally and professionally. They’ve released worship music together and often speak publicly about faith, marriage, and parenting. Adrienne once shared, “Marriage doesn’t fix brokenness—Jesus does.” Their relationship, while full of love, is grounded in mutual understanding of the highs and lows of life.
Adrienne also brought a grounding presence into Jeremy’s life. They complement each other well—Jeremy, the passionate songwriter pouring out raw emotion, and Adrienne, the calm support and fellow creative who understands the weight of ministry.

Together, Jeremy and Adrienne have three children who have grown up surrounded by music, prayer, and a deep sense of purpose. Their daughter Isabella Rose Camp, born on September 25, 2004, is the eldest. Arianne Mae Camp followed on April 5, 2006, and their son, Egan Thomas Camp, was born on August 17, 2011.
Despite Jeremy’s demanding tour schedule, the Camps prioritize family. They often travel together, using the tour bus not just for concerts but as a rolling homeschool classroom. Adrienne homeschools the kids, balancing math and literature with Bible lessons and service opportunities. In interviews, Jeremy has said that being a father is the most important job he has, next to being a husband.
