Kalani Faagata from 90 Day Fiancé has undergone significant weight loss as evidenced by her latest Instagram photos. She looks pretty slimmer these days. However, she has not spoken publicly about her transformation yet.
90 Day Fiancé is a TLC reality television series that follows couples who have applied for or received a K-1 visa, which is only available to foreign fiancés of US citizens, and thus have 90 days to marry. The show premiered on January 12, 2014, and has lasted 9 seasons to date.
The series has over twenty spin-offs that follow couples who met online but have not yet begun the K-1 visa process. The original series and its spinoffs are collectively referred to as the 90 Day Fiancé Universe or simply the 90-Day Universe by TLC parent company, Warner Bros. Discovery.
Since the release of the new season, one of the show’s contestants, Kalani Faagata, has amazed many viewers with her new physical appearance. After noticing the transformation of the reality star, many of her fans have inquired about her weight loss journey and expressed curiosity to know the actual reason behind her current body. Kalani Faagata’s Drastic Weight Loss Transformation Has Stunned Many 90 Day Fiancé Fans: Latest Photos Examined!
Kalani Faagata (@kalanifaagata) from 90 Day: The Last Resort appears thinner in her online photos, implying that she has undergone a significant weight loss since beginning her relationship with her new boyfriend, Dallas Nuez (@dallas.n714).
Just to let you know, Kalani was 29 years old when she met her ex-partner, Asuelu at a Samoan resort. The former couple acted rashly when they became pregnant twice before they married. She spent years trying to fix her marriage, possibly regretting it, which is why she jumped at the chance to kiss a hall pass guy.

According to reports, Kalani had back-to-back pregnancies, which may have contributed to her weight gain. Her second pregnancy with Kennedy was featured on 90 Day Fiancé. After the birth of her second child, she began to embrace her fuller post-pregnancy figure.
At the time, she was also dealing with issues in her marriage with Asuelu, who wanted to have a third child with her soon after her second pregnancy. Meanwhile, she was fed up with her ex-partner’s inability to make her happy.
Later, in season 6 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, Kalani was considering divorce from Asuelu. They made a brief appearance in 90 Day Diaries in March 2023 and are currently starring in 90 Day: The Last Resort a year later. She appears to have gained weight during the time between filming.
However, Kalani’s most recent Instagram photos show that she’s lost a significant amount of weight since then. While she hasn’t revealed how many pounds she’s lost or what her weight was prior to her transformation, her slimmer figure in newer photos speaks for itself.
Kalani’s weight loss is visible in her Instagram posts, particularly those featuring her new boyfriend. But hasn’t shared any information about a special diet or pictures from the gym like her co-stars, Yara Zaya and Liz Woods have.
Furthermore, toxic relationships, like the one Kalani had, can cause stress, which can lead to weight gain or impair one’s ability to lose weight. Her weight loss success could be attributed to her painful divorce. Later, in a May Instagram post, she wrote, “Trying to be Kalani after years of being just mom has been a struggle” in the caption of a series of photos that don’t include Asuelu but depict her current life.
In addition to dropping her ex-partner, Kalani has also lost a significant amount of weight in 2023. She needed to change for herself and her children. While she was chastised on 90 Day: The Last Resort season 1 for rushing into a relationship with Dallas after Asuelu cheated on her, it was all it took for her to overcome her self-esteem issues.
Are Kalani and Asuelu Still Together?
Kalani Faagata was honest with Asuelu Pulaa (@asuelupulaa) about her desire for a divorce even prior to the recommitment ceremony that took place during the 90 Day: The Last Resort finale. She expressed hope that the two would be able to maintain an amicable relationship for the sake of their children.

Indeed, both parties seemed adamant that they would not attempt to co-parent to the best of their abilities, even declaring that they would remain a part of each other’s families.
Asuelu appeared shocked that his partner desired a divorce and to move forward with her life with Dallas Nuez. However, it appeared that he would be fighting a losing battle if he attempted to persuade his soon-to-be ex-wife to change her mind.
During the re-commitment ceremony, Kalani did not change her mind and insisted that she could not forget the pain Asuelu had caused her over the years.
