Their firstborn, Evita Pilar, arrived in 1999 and later graduated from the University of Chicago, where she co-founded Chicago Thinker. Their first son, Xavier Jack, followed in 2001 and pursued a degree in Digital Media Communications at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
The Duffys continued expanding their family with Patrick, Margarita, Maria Victoria, Lucia-Belen, John-Paul, and Paloma.
