It was impressive how the Friends star underwent a dramatic physical transformation to fully immerse into the character of Claire Simmons, a woman who is putting her life together through the chronic pain she started suffering from after a dangerous car accident. You can tell that Claire can’t be perfectly toned and trim because she is not someone who can manage to maintain herself through exercises and such. In that regard, she is the opposite of Jennifer Aniston who had to embark on a weight gain journey for the role of Claire in the movie Cake.
Speaking about her physical makeover, she described what she did to add a few pounds to her fit and trim frame and talked about the lengths she went to in order to look the part she was playing. As it turned out, she did not have a very hard time putting on weight. She just stopped working out and maintaining herself and that was all it took for her to have a weight gain for her role. As she put it,
I basically just didn’t work out for two-and-a-half months. I stopped working out and I stopped being as careful about my diet as I normally am. I was still healthy, but I’d allow more.
Even though it was not very hard for Jennifer Aniston to gain weight, she really deserves appreciation for letting herself go in order to embody the character. I am aware that it’s her job as an actress but that does not negate the fact that it’s very brave of her to de-glam herself (she also went makeup-free) like that when she could have easily gotten out of actually going through weight gain transformation because you know how harsh people are to women who don’t fit into the beauty standards.

She does not exactly look as slim as she did when she was young because aging, of course. But you can’t deny she looks really great for a 54-year-old woman. Her physicality is something many women strive for.
And no, contrary to all the buzz and speculations that’s been going on, Jennifer Aniston has not had a weight gain. How can she not have anything but a perfect physique when she’s been following an incredibly strict diet and workout regimen religiously for decades now? In an interview, she said that she felt better than ever before in terms of physicality and mentality. Of course, she does. Maintaining physicality from a health point of view can go a long way.
She can never have weight gain when she eats like she does. She’s been following a 16:8 intermittent fasting diet, which is fasting for 16 hours a day and eating without restraint for the last eight hours, and that has worked wonders for her.
I do intermittent fasting, so no food in the morning. I noticed a big difference in going without solid food for 16 hours.
As for Jennifer Aniston’s workout schedule that would keep her from weight gain always, she said that she does cardio using the 15-15-15 method.
I usually do a trifecta. 15 minutes on the bike, 15 on the treadmill running and then 15 on the elliptical. You have to shake it up, you know, muscle confusion.
