Ever since the promotional cycle of the superhero movie Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 began, it has been brought to the forefront on the internet that Nebula looked a lot different than she did in the previous movies which is to say she looked bigger than before. Suffice it to say that Karen Gillan is not having the jolliest time right now, what with the scrutiny that comes with weight gain speculations and many people going, ‘Is she pregnant?’
The Scottish actress posted her character poster to tease the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 a few months ago and since then, people are trolling Karen Gillan for ruining the aesthetics of Nebula with her weight gain on Reddit and on Twitter. A few of them even blamed her for getting pregnant while she was playing such an important role and ruining the franchise. Some refuse to believe that Nebula would look like that and believe that her face was photoshopped onto somebody else’s body though why would anyone do that, they have failed to explain. Yeah someone tried to say she gained weight. Nope. I’m a woman with fluctuating weight. If a woman has Karen’s hourglass curves skinny, she well still have the hourglass heavier. A lot of the weight gain would be in the boobs. That is a man’s waist and hip line.

There was even a Reddit thread discussing a post with a crazy photoshop where Nebula’s body was photoshopped onto some man’s body which implied that Guardians of the Galaxy had gone downhill since the character got out of shape and began looking ‘mannish’ to them. And it’s not just Reddit where people are going berserk about the whole thing. People are going crazy all over Twitter as well.

Though there is no information about Karen Gillan having weight gain, there are a few Scottish websites that claim that she is pregnant. But whether they are just cashing in on the people’s frustration with Nebula’s weight gain in Guardians of The Galaxy Vol.3 and trying to get clicks from the fans of the franchise or they are actually reporting the truth, we cannot be sure.
Some people did support the claim that Karen Gillan is pregnant and that’s why she had weight gain and that’s why Nebula’s body looks a little different in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 than in the previous movies based on a few Instagram pictures of her where they said she looked like she was sporting a baby bump. But if you scroll through her Instagram pictures, you will notice that she looks tall and modelesque as ever and not like she’s gained weight.
