According to Lisa Harper, she founded Lancaster General Health’s Healthy Weight Management & Bariatric Surgery, a non-surgical weight loss program, to absolutely change her life by assisting her in modifying her eating habits. She enrolled in the program in 2018 after realizing how her weight was harming her health and ability to be a good mother to ‘Missy’. She said,

I was so overweight that I couldn’t keep up with her. I was winded walking up the stairs. I had high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep apnea and acid reflux.
