Sonja Morgan is one of the most loved cast members of the Bravo reality television series The Real Housewives of New York City. She joined the show in 2010 and remained a main cast member for eleven seasons till she left in 2021. In all the seasons that she was in, she had the viewers in her hook. She was widely regarded to be the fan favorite of the franchise. She was voted “Best Comedienne” from 2015 to 2018, for four consecutive years, in the fan-chosen Real Housewives Awards.
Sonja Morgan was already very beloved and she garnered more fans when she voluntarily shared that she had plastic surgery (a facelift and a neck lift) without anyone prodding her about it. Not that she could have hidden that she had cosmetic treatments because she looked significantly younger and fresher after she went under the knife but she didn’t deny it and didn’t stay silent either, which would have promoted the impossible beauty standard of youth among aging women. She has revealed having Botox, fillers, a facelift, a neck lift, and liposuction. She also supposedly had a nose job. That one, she has never mentioned.

In July 2020, when The Real Housewives of New York City viewers noticed that Sonja had suddenly started to look a lot younger and was sporting a fresh look, Sonja immediately hopped on Instagram to share that she had gotten plastic surgery. She was more than happy and very candid as she made a post writing that she had a facelift and a neck lift after wrapping Season 12 of RHONY and shared the before and after pictures.

Explaining why she made the decision to undergo plastic surgery, Sonja Morgan wrote that she wanted the wrinkles that were starting to develop to be gone. She seemed to be worried about looking older and to restore her youth by chasing off her wrinkles, she went under the knife. She admitted that she needed help in the looks department.
I just wanted to be rid of the wrinkling on my neck and the jowels that were beginning to form. People thought I was nuts because it was so subtle. But not to me. It was a no-brainer – gravity had taken its toll, I was also exhausted and I needed a ‘pick me up.’
Not only did Sonja Morgan share that she had plastic surgery but she also gave her plastic surgeon, Dr. Andrew Jacono, a shout-out in her post and kind of promoted his book.

Though Morgan didn’t reveal it herself, she seems to have undergone a nose job as well. Not long after she shared that she had a facelift and a neck lift, Dr. Ramtin Kassir, in an interview, revealed that he had performed a liquid nose job on her. Explaining the plastic surgery procedure that he claimed Sonja Morgan had been having for more than a decade, he said,
It’s filler in the nose. She has a little bit of a bump, it’s a little crooked and it’s a little long. What we do is we straighten it, shorten it, and lift it all with filler.
Just the previous year, the Bravo star had opened up about having Botox and fillers. Sonja Morgan said that it was a part of her self-care, such cosmetic treatments and “getting things fixed.” It was then that we got to know that she drew the line at liposuction. She didn’t think that anyone needed to have liposuction plastic surgery. But she went back on her word later on.
The reality television star really embraced her figure for a while. She didn’t care that you could see the whole outline of her belly button when she wore a tight dress because that was “who she was.” However, that was a phase which didn’t last long. She ended up getting laser liposuction plastic surgery in 2022. In an interview with Page Six, Sonja Morgan said that she wanted to tweak her body.
I’m in front of the camera, but I also want to feel good in every day clothes; whether I’m going to the beach, or if I want to put on sexy lingerie. I’m active, I’m in shape, I love my body — I just want to tweak it.
