Prior to competing on the BBC One dancing competition show, where John Whaite created history by being a part of the first all-male partnership, the Strictly Come Dancing candidate started going to the gym and working out. He has posted images of his fitness journey on his Instagram account and is frequently seen showing off his enormous biceps after a strenuous workout.
Compared to John Whaite's appearance in 2012, when he won the Bake Off, John has definitely dropped a significant amount of muscle mass and appears to be an entirely different person. According to the sources, the 34-year-old baker attributes his weight loss and improved appearance to a strict exercise regimen and workout plan. He previously even revealed,
I’m doing a bit more cardio I’ve done weightlifting now for years, and I’ve really got into bodybuilding in the past 18 months. So I’ve now started to incorporate more stretching and cardio into my routine, and I have been watching what I eat as I want to get more lean.

John Whaite Early Life & Career!
John Whaite was born in Lancashire's Chorley and grew up on a farm in Wrightington. After his parents divorced, he grew interested in baking at the age of seven. He was accepted to Oxford to study Modern and Medieval Languages, but he changed his major to Law at the University of Manchester to be closer to home.
After taking his law examinations while shooting Bake Off, he graduated with honors in 2012. At the same time, he also completed a summer scheme with renowned law firm Eversheds Sutherland and worked briefly as a banker in the asset finance section of the Royal Bank of Scotland. After winning the series, he turned down a career in law or banking and enrolled in cooking lessons at Le Cordon Bleu in London.

Later, Whaite published four recipe books, the first of which, John Whaite Bakes, was published on April 25, 2013, and the second, John Whaite Bakes at Home, on March 27, 2014. Likely, the third book, Perfect Plates in 5 Ingredients, was released in April 2016. And in October 2017, the fourth book, Comfort: Food to Soothe the Soul, was released. In addition, he published A Flash in the Pan, in 2019 which includes recipes for cooking with only a stovetop pan.
Regarding Whaite's appearance on digital screen, he took part in the Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour 2022. Likely, he was set to join the cast of Andrew Lloyd-Webber's Cinderella as Prince Charming in May 2022, but the production was called off before he could make his debut. At the time, he stated that joining the Cinderella cast would be a dream come true.
