Heaton is very open-minded about the whole cosmetic surgery thing. She’s not against getting work done and opting for naturalness, and she does not seem to treat naturalness as something sacred like a lot of people who buy into the stigma surrounding cosmetic works. She doesn’t think too much about it. She just thinks of it along the lines of ‘you want it (to look good), you get it’. As long as you take care to not go into the uncanny valley territory, it’s fine for her because it has made her feel confident in her looks.
As Patricia Heaton said in an interview with ‘People’, she wasn’t happy with the changes that her body went through after four pregnancies so, she went under the knife to shape her figure as she wanted. She got her boobs done and had a stomach reconstruction as well, and felt better after the procedures.
I think there’s good plastic surgery and bad plastic surgery. I had four C-sections. I gained 50 lbs. with every kid and I’m 5’2″. Wasn’t pretty. It just does something to your body. I was really in the prime of my career when that was all going on, so it just felt better and made me more confident to reconstruct my stomach, take care of all that stuff.

Heaton also seems to have gotten fillers and Botox, given how young and rejuvenated she looks at the age of 66. When it comes to cosmetic injections, she only thinks you should watch out for whether you are going overboard with it and turning into mannequins because if you can avoid looking like that, it can do wonders for your looks by just enhancing it and not changing it, and that is something she loves. As Patricia Heaton put it,
I also love beauty products and I love fillers and Botox, if you do it so that you still look like yourself, you just look like your best self. We’ve all seen people who have gone way over the top with that stuff. Obviously, that’s not what you want to look like. I think in our industry in particular, any actress who has had too much work done stops working because you start looking kind of strange, and the camera really picks up stuff.
