At the 2023 London Marathon, Sifan Hassan, the two-time Olympic champion, ran her first marathon. Surprisingly, she won it in valiant style, making a return after two stops to stretch an impinged hip.

Hassan won her marathon debut in 2:18:33, defeating one of the greatest women’s fields ever assembled, including reigning Olympic champion Peres Jepchirchir, despite managing her final month of training with fasting for Ramadan, stopping twice to stretch out her stiff quad and falling 28 seconds behind the leaders, nearly colliding with a motorcycle at the 40k drinks station, and falling 28 seconds behind the leaders.

Sifan Hassan’s name has been all over the running world. At the same time, many people are also interested to know about her personal life, including who her husband is. Well, here’s everything you need to know about her relationship status.

It seems Sifan has mastered keeping her personal life private. The 2-time-Olympic winner has never revealed or shared anything about her family, neither on her social media nor in front of any media. Clearly, she prefers to keep her personal information to herself and we have been pretty unsuccessful to find out about her possible husband or boyfriend’s whereabouts.

On the other hand, there’s a slight chance Sifan Hassan might be single. A lot of people maybe be surprised to know that she is just 30 years old. Considering all the achievements she has achieved in her life, we can assume she might have been focused on her career. Disagree as much as you want, there’s no denying that marriage, husband, and family, do distract you and might affect your career.

Thus, we strongly believe Sifan Hassan does not appear to have a husband. However, our team is working day and night to confirm it. We promise we’ll get back to you as soon as we get any further information about her possible partner.

Sifan Hassan Wins the 2023 London Marathon in Her Marathon Debut!

In her debut at the race, Sifan Hassan won the 2023 London Marathon overcoming an injury and putting up an incredible performance to defeat the Olympic champion Peres Jepchirchir and Alemu Megertu of Ethiopia in a breathtaking sprint finish.

As a 30-year-old switching from the track, Hassan, the 5,000- and 10,000-meter Olympic champion in Tokyo, arrived in London with only the hope of finishing the race. The Dutchwoman said, “I’m going to finish the distance or the distance is going to finish me,” yet she won in one of the greatest fields ever put together for a marathon.

The astonishing win of Hassan occurred after she stopped running 15 kilometers in and stretched out her left leg, falling well behind pace. With three kilometers remaining, the Dutchwoman reeled in the leaders while navigating chaos while attempting to get a drink from a water station. Following her comeback, Hassan even offered Yalemzerf Yehualaw, the champion from the previous year, a sip from her bottle.

In a sprint finish down The Mall, Hassan used her track background to distance herself from Megertu and Jepchirchir, finishing in two hours, 18 minutes, and 33 seconds. Hassan prepared for the marathon while simultaneously following Ramadan, during which she stayed away from food and drink during the day. After her victory, she told BBC:

London has been my dream. And now here I am, I was doubting that I could even finish. This is just amazing. I will never forget this in my whole life. I enjoyed it so much. They said the marathon would hurt but I felt really good, even after 5km and 15km! When I saw the finish line, I thought, is that really it?

Not just the Dutch star of Ethiopian descent was astounded by her accomplishment. Former Olympic middle-distance runner, Steve Cram, expressed on the BBC,

Sifan Hassan has done something that nobody could ever have expected… She was struggling, she was grabbing her hip, stopping to stretch it off. She would have been dreaming of just finishing. She can hardly believe it, this might just be the best success of her life.
