Giancarlo Esposito does not appear to have had plastic surgery at all. Many people seem to think that the Breaking Bad star has had Botox because he doesn’t have a wrinkle on his face but that might be just him playing cold, expressionless character who doesn’t so much as frown. In his recent pictures, he does appear to be aging. Giancarlo Esposito has never made any comments on speculations about his plastic surgery.
Ever since Giancarlo Esposito portrayed the iconic and cold-hearted Gus Fring in the AMC crime drama series Breaking Bad and absolutely nailed that role (he took home the Critics’ Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his performance), he has been a very beloved acting figure to the public. They just can’t get enough of his scenes because they are kind of a treat to watch. He has been in many other things and played many other characters but as far as the general public is concerned, nothing ever comes close to Gus, the drug lord.
Some of the roles Giancarlo Esposito has played are Federal Agent Mike Giardello in the NBC series Homicide: Life on the Street, Sidney Glass / Magic Mirror in the ABC fantasy series Once Upon a Time, Tom Neville in the NBC series Revolution, Dr. Edward Ruskins in the Netflix series Dear White People, Adam Clayton Powell Jr. in the MGM+ series Godfather of Harlem, and a broken man Leo Pap in the hit Netflix TV series Kaleidoscope.
He has been in lots of stuff and he has been around for a long time which is why sometimes, the viewers are stunned to realize that he’s been looking the same for years. They suspect that he has had plastic surgery, mainly Botox. Let’s discuss that!

Lots of people are of the opinion that he has gotten Botox in the least and that’s why he sort of looks ageless.

You might have noticed too that Gus Fring practically has been looking the same in every role he plays. It’s been more than a decade since he first took up the role but he has not really changed in all this time. He had to be around 55 at that time. Now, he’s 65 but you can’t really tell the difference by looking at him, can you? No wonder viewers wonder if he has had plastic surgery.
Giancarlo Esposito has sort of retained his looks from when he was young with a few traces of wrinkles and lines. His appearance is mostly smooth and it has been that way for a while which has made people think he is ageless. They suspect that he has taken the aid of the anti-wrinkle injection and gotten rid of the creases and lines on his face. Though it’s not technically plastic surgery, it seems to have done a lot for his appearance.
But that is, only if he had it. Let’s get some other perspective in this regard. So, Esposito has been looking the same as Gus Fring from Breaking Bad in the roles he has played over the last decade and while that’s mostly true, you also have to consider that it might be so because there’s a little variation in the roles he has been taking. Ever since the cold, calculating, and psychopathic Gus became a hit among the public, he has been taking similar roles. So, of course, he’s bound to look more or less the same. It might not be plastic surgery after all.

And in those kinds of roles, Esposito isn’t supposed to express much because they are not dramatic roles. The roles are all about subtlety and do not require moving a single muscle on his face which is why he looks so smooth. I mean, he does not move his face so, no wrinkles and lines are seen, only traces of it which makes him look very young and as if he has not aged at all. So, the secret of his ‘ageless’ appearance might be his roles and not plastic surgery.
Giancarlo Esposito definitely does not seem to have had cosmetic treatments from his pictures. Just scroll through his Instagram page and you will notice that he appears to be aging. He has wrinkles and lines and he appears old. Maybe not too old but you can tell he is in his sixties. By the looks of it, he has not had Botox. He may not have had plastic surgery in the first place.
Note that Giancarlo Esposito has never responded to all the speculations that he has had Botox to fight the effects of aging. He seems unbothered by all the rumors that he has had plastic surgery.
