Talking about the procedure that she had to change her eye color, in an interview on ‘Good Morning America’, the ‘Understanding’ hitmaker said,
I looked in the mirror and I was, like, ‘They’re amazing’. They go into the eye and they make a little slit. They take an implant and it’s folded up. They open it [and] spread it over your eye.They told me that the procedure was going to be quick, five to 10 minutes an eye. They woke me up. It was very blurry, then it kind of fades in.
When people came to know of Tiny Harris‘ that cosmetic procedure, that she was not wearing colored lenses, and that she had actually gone from having dark-colored eyes to light-colored ones by getting cosmetic eye implants, she received a lot of backlash for getting the very risky procedure. People thought that it was very extreme of her to go to Africa to get eye implants. Because it was illegal in America as it could have harmful repercussions such as glaucoma, cataracts, corneal problems, and bleeding in the eyes, people thought she could have just not changed her eye color from brown to ice grey.
